The Ohio State University's network of regional campuses at Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark plays an important role in the university s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education to qualified students. The regional campuses are enrolling students in record numbers, and enrollments are expected to continue increasing in the future. This will result in greater numbers of students ultimately changing to the Columbus campus to complete a bachelor degree. Are we doing the best we can to provide a smooth transition for these OSU students? The purpose of this working conference is to take a closer look at the current processes involved in campus change, identify what works and what does not, and to generate creative ideas for improvement. Future working committees will then use these ideas to propose recommendations for concrete changes at the unit, college, and university levels.
This is a unique advising conference in the history of Ohio State. The success of this event depends on active participation by any student affairs personnel, including academic advisors, recruiters, admissions counselors, residence hall staff, and financial aid counselors.
