BSN Major
Admission to the nursing major is highly competitive. Applicants are selected on the basis of their academic record, leadership, work and volunteer experiences, and potential for success. Admission decisions are made throughout spring quarter, and applicants are notified in writing as soon as a decision is made. All applicants are notified of their status by mid-June. Some applicants may be placed on an alternate list, and, as space becomes available, admitted from the alternate list through the end of the summer.
Admission requirements:
- completion of 45-quarter credit hours of prerequisite course work by the end of spring quarter of the year of intended enrollment in the nursing major. View BSN Prerequisite Requirements to confirm.
- minimum grade of C- or better in all prerequisite course work
- minimum GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale on all collegiate academic courses. The average GPA of students admitted for Autumn Quarter 2007 was 3.65 on a 4.0 scale. The college does not anticipate offering admission to any students with a GPA below 3.0.
