Internships in the Federal Government

According to the Partnership for Public Service, the federal government offers an enormous array of internships. Internships can occur during the summer as well as during the school year.

Today’s employers are looking for students who have had at least one, if not more, internships experiences. Internships can help you assess career goals and career fit. They also provide occasions to network with individuals within your agency and across agencies to enhance your understanding of federal government employment options.

While over 30 agencies participating in OSU’s Federal Career Day will be offering internship information, don’t stop with this one day event. The Partnership for Public Service offers these key sites for additional information:

  • Internship Opportunities in the Executive Branch
  • World-Class Internships at the State Department
